What is the Tiny Desk trend?

Charlie Wilson closed his NPR Tiny Desk Concert of June 5, 2023 with the Gap Band's 1982 hit "Outstanding": a cluttered desk, a red keyboard, backing singers in headphones and a sax solo. On October 18, 2026, after Georgia, Notre Dame, Indiana, Alabama and Texas had all lost on the same Saturday, the TikTok account @theburnerfromhe11 posted the five coaches' faces onto the last 19 seconds of that performance as an "All-Loss Tiny Desk Concert". It passed 2.3 million views in a week, and group-chat, office and NFL versions followed. Those viral posts are face swaps on NPR's footage; hosted video models refuse a real face in a reference clip, and the footage and song belong to NPR and the Gap Band. This page generates a new desk concert in the same shape around one photo, with its own band and an original song.

Song: Outstanding

The scene and its sound are generated for your video. No celebrity footage or music is used.

How is this different from other Tiny Desk generators?

  • A 10-second desk concert in 720p with the sound built in: keys, bass, backing harmonies and your voice on lead, cut like the trend from the close-up to the sax solo.
  • The desk, the band and the song are generated around you, so it passes the face checks that block edits made from the NPR footage, and there is no copyrighted clip or song in the file.
  • One photo, no prompt and no CapCut editing; the 9:16 MP4 is ready to post, and the original sound can be lowered under the trend sound in TikTok.

What people ask before they pay

What is the Tiny Desk AI trend?

A TikTok trend where people use AI to put themselves, their coaches, their group chat or their coworkers at the desk in Charlie Wilson's 2023 NPR Tiny Desk performance of "Outstanding": the close-up on the lead, the band behind the desk, the big laugh and the sax solo. It started on October 18, 2026 with a video of five losing college football coaches.

Is it free?

No. Each video runs on paid GPU time, so one video is $5.90. A render that fails or is blocked by moderation gives the credits straight back.

Can I make it without CapCut or an app?

Yes. This page runs in your phone or computer browser: upload one photo, pay, and download the MP4. No app, no template search and no prompt. CapCut has no template that swaps a face into the performance anyway; it only adds captions and cuts.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. It is a web page, so Safari on iPhone and Chrome on Android both work, and the MP4 saves to your camera roll.

Does it use the real NPR video?

No. The desk, the band and the song are generated around the person in your photo, in the same shape as the trend. Feeding the NPR clip to a hosted video model fails its real-face checks, which is why edits made from the original footage get blocked.

Does it come with sound?

Yes. The band sound is generated with the video: keys, bass, light drums, backing harmonies and your voice on lead, singing an original soul song. It is not the "Outstanding" recording. If you want the trend sound, lower the original audio in TikTok and add "Outstanding" from the sound library.

How long is the video, and how long does it take?

The video is 10 seconds: the close-up, the band, the big laugh and the sax solo. Most renders finish in 2–4 minutes.

Is it vertical?

Yes. You get a 9:16 MP4 at 720p, the shape TikTok, Reels and Shorts expect.

Can I put my coach, a celebrity or my whole group chat in it?

No. Only photos of yourself or of people who said yes, one person per video. Public figures, minors and sexual or harassing content are refused and blocked by moderation.

What if the result does not look like me?

A sharp, front-facing photo in even light from the chest up matches best. Every order comes with one free re-render.

How do credits work?

One video costs 59 credits. The 3- and 10-video packs cost less per video, and the credits stay valid for 12 months on every effect here.

What happens to my photo?

It is only used to make your video and is deleted within 7 days. Every output is labelled as AI-generated.

Which AI model is used?

Seedance 2.0 image-to-video with sound generation. It builds the whole desk concert, band and song around the person in your photo; there is no reference clip.
