Acceptable Use
Whose photos you may upload, what is refused, and what happens when the rules are broken.
Last updated: 2026-10-23
Whose photo you can use
Upload a photo only of:
- yourself;
- an adult who has agreed to be in the video.
Before every video you confirm this with the consent line next to the button. That confirmation is recorded with the order.
What is refused
We refuse, and moderation blocks:
- anyone under 18, or anyone who looks like they might be;
- public figures, celebrities and politicians;
- sexual, nude or suggestive content;
- content that harasses, humiliates, threatens or impersonates a real person;
- hateful or violent content;
- photos you do not have the right to use.
Using what you make
You may download and post the videos you make for personal, non-commercial use, labelled as AI-generated. Do not present a video as real footage, use it to deceive anyone, or use someone else's face to make them appear to say or do something they did not.
What happens if the rules are broken
Blocked attempts are refunded automatically, but repeated attempts to get around moderation lead to a suspended account without a refund of unspent credits. Content that may be illegal is reported to the relevant authorities.
Report a video
If you see a video made with Reelsame that breaks these rules, or one that shows you without your consent, email support@reelsame.com. We act within 48 hours (see the disclaimer).
