What is the Ozil Goal trend?

On November 1, 2016, Mesut Özil scored a late winner against Ludogorets by chipping the goalkeeper, letting two defenders slide past him and walking the ball in. Ten years later a CapCut template redrew the move with AI, a fictional stadium and made-up kits, and TikTok filled with people casting themselves as the scorer. This page uses that AI-redrawn scene, never the match broadcast.

  1. Nov 1, 2016Mesut Özil chips the keeper, waits for two defenders to slide past and scores the late winner in Arsenal's 3-2 comeback at Ludogorets.
  2. Oct 11, 2026Iris735 publishes the "Ozilgoalai" CapCut template, an AI-redrawn version of the move. Its 15-second preview is the reference clip on this page.
  3. Oct 16–20, 2026Tutorials in English, Spanish, Arabic and Indonesian spread on TikTok; one passes 5 million views.
  4. Oct 24, 2026The template passes 3.2 million uses.

We do not provide the original footage or song. Add the trend's sound on TikTok.

How is this different from other Ozil Goal generators?

  • The whole 15-second move in one continuous shot, from the chip over the keeper to the ball in the net, not a 5-second prompt-to-video clip.
  • The scene is AI-redrawn with made-up kits, players and stadium boards, so there is no broadcast footage and no real footballer in your video.
  • The keeper, both defenders and the camera move stay as in the template everyone is posting; only the scorer becomes you.
  • One photo, no prompt and no CapCut editing; the 9:16 MP4 is ready to post with the trend sound.

What people ask before they pay

What is the Ozil AI goal video?

A TikTok trend where people cast themselves as the scorer in an AI-redrawn version of Mesut Özil's 2016 goal: the chip over the keeper, the wait while two defenders slide past, and the finish.

Is it free?

The CapCut template "Ozilgoalai" is free if you have the CapCut app. Here each video is $5.90 because it runs on paid GPU time, and a render that fails or gets blocked gives the credits straight back.

Can I make it without CapCut or another app?

Yes. This page runs in your phone or computer browser: upload one photo, pay, and download the MP4. There is no app to install and no prompt to write.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes, in Safari, Chrome or any modern browser. The MP4 saves to your phone and posts straight to TikTok, Reels or Shorts.

How long is the video, and how long does it take?

Pick 6 seconds (the chip and the control) or 15 seconds (the whole move to the ball in the net). Most renders finish in 2–4 minutes.

Is it vertical?

Yes. You get a 9:16 MP4 at 720p, the shape TikTok, Reels and Shorts expect.

Does it come with sound?

No, the MP4 is silent. Add the trend sound inside TikTok so your post shows up on the trend page.

Is this the real match footage?

No. The reference is an AI-redrawn tribute scene with fictional kits, players and stadium boards. It contains no broadcast footage, and neither does your video.

Can I use a photo of someone else, or of a footballer?

Only of yourself or of people who said yes. Public figures, including real footballers, minors and sexual or harassing content are refused and blocked by moderation.

How do credits work?

One video costs 59 credits. The 3- and 10-video packs cost less per video, and the credits stay valid for 12 months on every effect here.

What if the result does not look like me?

A sharp, front-facing photo in good light with your outfit visible matches best. Every order comes with one free re-render.

What happens to my photo?

It is only used to make your video and is deleted within 7 days. Every output is labelled as AI-generated.

Which AI model is used?

Seedance 2.0, a reference-to-video model that keeps the scene, the camera and the other players and swaps the scorer for the person in your photo.
