What is the Ozil Goal AI video trend?

Where the Ozil Goal trend came from, how the AI version works and how to make your own.

On November 1, 2016, Mesut Özil scored a late winner against Ludogorets by chipping the goalkeeper, letting two defenders slide past him and walking the ball in. Ten years later a CapCut template redrew the move with AI, a fictional stadium and made-up kits, and TikTok filled with people casting themselves as the scorer. This page uses that AI-redrawn scene, never the match broadcast.

  2. Oct 11, 2026Iris735 publishes the "Ozilgoalai" CapCut template, an AI-redrawn version of the move. Its 15-second preview is the reference clip on this page.
  3. Oct 16–20, 2026Tutorials in English, Spanish, Arabic and Indonesian spread on TikTok; one passes 5 million views.

How is this different from other Ozil Goal generators?

  • The whole 15-second move in one continuous shot, from the chip over the keeper to the ball in the net, not a 5-second prompt-to-video clip.
  • The scene is AI-redrawn with made-up kits, players and stadium boards, so there is no broadcast footage and no real footballer in your video.
  • The keeper, both defenders and the camera move stay as in the template everyone is posting; only the scorer becomes you.
  • One photo, no prompt and no CapCut editing; the 9:16 MP4 is ready to post with the trend sound.
